Introduction: Impact Sports Clubs is committed to creating a safe and secure environment for all individuals involved in its activities, particularly children, young people, and vulnerable adults. This safeguarding policy outlines the principles, guidelines, and procedures that will be followed to ensure the well-being of everyone associated with Impact Sports Clubs.

Scope: This policy applies to all staff, volunteers, coaches, participants, and parents associated with Impact Sports Clubs. It covers all activities, events, and programs organized or endorsed by the club.

Key Principles: a. Inclusivity: Impact Sports Clubs will ensure that everyone, regardless of age, gender, race, disability, sexual orientation, or religious belief, has the right to participate in sports in a safe and enjoyable environment. b. Responsibility: All individuals associated with Impact Sports Clubs share the responsibility for safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children, young people, and vulnerable adults.

Roles and Responsibilities: a. Designated Safeguarding Officer (DSO):

The DSO is responsible for overseeing the implementation of this policy and providing guidance on safeguarding matters.

The DSO will attend relevant training and keep updated on safeguarding issues. b. Coaches and Staff:

All coaches and staff members are responsible for familiarizing themselves with this policy and adhering to its guidelines.

Coaches and staff must report any concerns or incidents related to safeguarding to the DSO.

Recruitment and Training: a. All individuals working with children, young people, or vulnerable adults will undergo appropriate background checks before being involved with Impact Sports Clubs. b. Coaches and staff will receive regular training on safeguarding, including recognizing signs of abuse, reporting procedures, and maintaining appropriate boundaries.

Code of Conduct: a. A clear code of conduct will be established for all coaches, staff, volunteers, and participants, outlining expected behavior and the consequences of misconduct. b. No form of abuse, harassment, or inappropriate behavior will be tolerated within Impact Sports Clubs.

Reporting Procedures: a. Any concerns, allegations, or incidents related to the safeguarding of children, young people, or vulnerable adults must be reported immediately to the DSO. b. The DSO will follow appropriate procedures, including reporting to the relevant authorities if necessary, and ensuring confidentiality is maintained.

Communication and Awareness: a. This policy will be communicated to all individuals associated with Impact Sports Clubs. b. Regular updates and reminders will be provided to ensure that everyone remains aware of their responsibilities.
